TrustLine, founded in 1987 by the California Legislature and overseen by the California Department of Social Services and the California Child Care Resource and Referral Network, has the endorsement of the California Academy of Pediatrics.

It serves as California’s registry for screened in-home child care providers, tutors, counselors, and child care staff, offering valuable reassurance to parents hiring nannies or babysitters.

Every caregiver listed on TrustLine has undergone a fingerprint check through the California Department of Justice, ensuring they have no disqualifying criminal convictions or substantiated child abuse reports within California.

TrustLine is administered by the California Department of Social Services and the non-profit California Child Care Resource and Referral Network.  It is endorsed by the California Academy of Pediatrics.
