Recap of the Spooktacular Celebration

On October 19, 2024, the Pomona Police Department hosted its annual Spooktacular Celebration, a festive Halloween event for families in the community. From 3 PM to 6 PM, the west parking lot of the Pomona Police Station was transformed into a fun-filled environment, complete with costumes, treats, and a variety of activities.

The Resource and Referrals team from PUSD Child Development proudly participated in the event, showcasing valuable resources for child care and early childhood education. Our booth featured two large pop-up cartons shaped like the beloved Minions from the movie Despicable Me, drawing smiles from children and parents alike. A vibrant sign reading “Bananas” adorned the display, complemented by playful banana cutouts that added a festive touch.

In front of our Minion-themed backdrop, we provided pamphlets and flyers detailing the various programs and resources available to families in our community. We were thrilled to connect with attendees, answering questions and sharing information about our services.

The Spooktacular Celebration was a great success, bringing together families for an afternoon of spooky fun and community engagement. We look forward to participating in more events like this in the future, helping to strengthen our community ties and support our families.
