We help children ages 0–5 learn and grow in a caring, welcoming place. We work with parents to make plans that fit each child. If needed, we help set up tests to see how a child is doing. We include special plans (IFSPs/IEPs) in daily lessons and offer workshops and helpful tools for families.

Support for Children with Emotional or Developmental Needs

Some behaviors may show that a child is having emotional or developmental challenges. We’re here to help.

Inclusive Learning for All

We welcome all children ages 0–5, including those with disabilities. Every child deserves to learn in a caring and supportive space.

Referrals for Extra Support

If we think a child may need extra help, we can refer families to the San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center or Pomona USD Special Education for testing and support.

Working Together

We partner with the Regional Center and Special Education teams to make sure each child gets the services they need.

Personalized Plans

If a child has a special plan (like an IFSP or IEP), we include it in their weekly lessons. We also work with parents to create plans that fit their child’s needs and help them succeed.

Helping Parents Support Their Child

We offer workshops to help parents learn how to support their children at school and speak up for their needs. We also share extra tools and resources to help with specific concerns.

The Disability Service and Mental Health staff at PUSD is available to provide consultations to parents, referrals for intervention support, and referrals to community agencies to address children's, parents', and families' needs.
