IT Professionals Day!

National IT Professionals Day is celebrated every year on the third Tuesday of September.

It’s a special day to say “thank you” to the IT workers who help keep technology running in our schools. Information Technology Services, or ITS, is the team that takes care of computers, the internet, and other tech tools in our school district. They help students, parents, teachers, and school staff use technology every day.

The ITS team does many important jobs. Some work on computer programs, some help people talk to each other with phones and email, and others make sure the school’s internet and networks work. Some team members keep our data safe from hackers. There are also creative team members like web designers and graphic artists. They build websites and digital tools that are fun and easy to use. Their work helps teachers teach and students learn using videos, pictures, and interactive tools.

On National IT Professionals Day, we thank these amazing workers for all they do. We also encourage students who like technology to keep learning—maybe one day you’ll work in IT too!
