Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP)
The Child Care Initiative Project (CCIP) training series is offered to participants going through the process to become licensed family child care providers as well as existing child care providers.
Areas of Focus
- Capacity building to increase the quantity of licensed family child care homes and
- Improving the quality of care provided to young children in family care homes.
To qualify, you must:
- Be planning to include infants and toddlers in your child care home, and
- Complete the training program of 25 hrs. of Quality Improvement Training and
- Complete three (3) extracurricular activities (e.g. Toy Library visit, Licensed FCC home tour).
Orientation
CRC will be hosting four (4) Community Care Licensing Orientations throughout the year for anyone interested in opening a Family Child Care Home Business.

Health & Safety
All California’s R&R programs facilitate provider reimbursement for demonstrated completion of Emergency Services Authority approved course work (including waivered health and safety coursework), for licensed center staff, licensed family child care providers, and license-exempt providers. R&Rs with certified staff may facilitate classes as well.
